South Pasadena PD Swears in New Officer

Christina Roppo becomes SPPD’s Second Female Officer

SOUTH PASADENA, (Calif.) – South Pasadena’s Police Department (SPPD) recently swore in Officer Christina Roppo, making her the second female officer in the department.

“Christina was an exceptional candidate for this position; her previous work experience has provided her with the knowledge and tools to continue to keep the City of South Pasadena and its residents safe,” said SPPD Chief Joe Ortiz. “She will be an asset to our team.”

Prior to SPPD, Roppo served as a deputy sheriff for the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. She also has experience working in the fitness and insurance industries.

“I am excited for this opportunity to work for the South Pasadena Police Department, and I am looking forward to being an ambassador for the department while serving and protecting the community of South Pasadena,” said Roppo.

Roppo was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, travelling and weight training.
