Our Virtual Recreation Center will bring many programs and resources right to your screen for you and your loved ones to utilize with the hope of making it easier for you to prioritize your health and well-being, in addition to having some fun!

Picnic & Virtual Tours
Plan a little picnic with mom's favorite snacks and participate in some virtual Botanical Garden Tours. Some places include the Buffalo Botanical Garden of New York or a tour of the United States Botanic Garden!
Our favorite is the guided Nahuku Lava Tube Tour!
Gather mom's favorite snacks, drinks, and movie and get in some comfy pj's to watch a movie! You can do a pillow fort, or blanket fort while spending some time together to enjoy a movie or two.
Ordering Food from local restaurants
Ordering some of mom's favorite sandwich, or favorite boba tea is a great way to satisfy her cravings for a great lunch or dinner (and maybe her sweet tooth!) Visit the South Pasadena's Chamber of Commerce web page for a list of places currently open in South Pasadena!
Mom's Essential Bag
Create a cute tote bag, or re-use a basket with designs drawn by the little ones and filling it with some items mom can't be without. Some items can be as simple as: coffee mugs, lip balms, gift cards, and even a coupon book stating "1 hour of free time for mom." For some ideas, visit the web page here!
Spring Lilies - Hand-printed Lily
Create some hand-printed lilies for mom! Create some flowers with a multitude of different colors to create a beautiful bouquet of spring lilies. For directions and illustrations, visit Handprint Lilies!
Love you to pieces - Card
Flowers aren't cutting it? Try making a confetti heart and card for mom! Create a "Love you to pieces" card with some of mom's favorite colors. Remind her in this crafty way that you really lover her to pieces! Love you to Pieces Directions

Create a short video, award certificate, or even social media post stating your mom is the best mom ever!
Mother's Day Coupons
Give the gift of family coupons from the little ones, and partners, to mom! We have a template here for usage, feel free to take some time and decorate them with items that mom may want or need. Our favorites are "Cleaning my room" "1 hour alone for mom" and "Doing dishes" We have a Coupon template here but feel free to use it as inspiration!
Mother's Day Dinner
Visit some famous locations and museums through Google's Arts & Culture feature!
You can visit locations like the Taj Mahal, or explore art throughout history, or anything you'd like with their explore feature!

Free, Live Virtual Science Classes!
Professor Egghead is providing free virtual science demonstrations that anyone can participate in! You can also participate in these low-cost interactive video lessons that will be available with the link here: Professor Egghead Science Academy!
Functional Fitness Senior Workouts!
Seniors can participate in these free workout videos from the safety of their own homes. Workout requires a chair and band, and separated in sections that are approximately 20 minutes in length for a total of 1 hour.
Please practice safety while performing these exercises to prevent bodily harm. You may find different levels of workouts below.

Super Soccer Stars Soccer Classes!
Super Soccer Stars is providing virtual soccer classes to help keep the little ones active at home! You can join their free Facebook Group where a coach will lead a 20 minute session that is broadcasted and available for streaming. Super Soccer Star Facebook Group

The City of South Pasadena Senior Center is open for phone calls Monday - Friday 8:00am - 2:00pm to provide the following services for South Pasadena Senior Citizens:
- Sign up for meal delivery through the Senior Lunch Program. (Must call the day before!)
- Utilize Dial A Ride for trips to medical facilities, grocery stores, and local pharmacies.

Social Distancing in Public Park and Trails

To help combat the consequences of self-isolation caused by Social Distancing, USC Geriatric services is providing the following resource to combat isolation while being able to gain a connection to help a student learn about aging, and have friendly daily check-in calls.
