City of South Pasadena’s Financial Transparency Portal

The City of South Pasadena’s OpenGov Transparency Portal is an interactive portal that allows you to explore the City’s financial information online through graphical formats and various numbers and chart visualizations. In an effort to provide a more inclusive and transparent budget presentation to our residents, the City is pleased to partner with OpenGov to provide this Financial Transparency tool. This is a great web-based financial transparency and intelligence tool that dynamically presents the City’s revenues and expenditures from historical trends to line item level details.

2015-16 Adopted Budget Chart

This new tool is available to residents in addition to the  Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) and the Annual Proposed and Adopted Budget documents. The OpenGov tool will contain financial data from 2005 to the current adopted budget and will be maintained to reflect the most up-to-date information.

Run charts, graphs, and reports instantly! The new Fiscal Year 2017-18 Budget is available. Click here to visit the City's Portal.

The portal is user friendly and allows you to explore particular areas of interest by filtering through various categories. For example the chart below compares the City’s expenditures on street trees from 2012 to the current adopted budget. Filtering through the City's Financial information has never been easier. Simply select the filters of interest to see all of the departments and funds associated with the city's expenditures and revenues. The platform also provides clickable line item details that give the ability to export reports in various formats such as graphs, charts, tables, and spreadsheets.
