The City’s Water Conservation Ordinance (Chapter 35 of the Municipal Code) mandates year-round water use efficiency best practices. Residents and businesses are required to practice measures which include not watering your landscape between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (Even better is to set your irrigation timer to water between the 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.). Large, new landscapes must follow water efficient guidelines detailed in the City's Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance #2242. For more details, click here.
