Subject: Fatal Traffic Collision Involving a Motorcyclist 

South Pasadena, CA – On Sunday, August 3, 2025, at approximately 9:07 p.m., South Pasadena Police officers responded to a reported traffic collision involving a motorcycle at the intersection of Pasadena Avenue and Arroyo Drive. 

Upon arrival, officers determined that the motorcyclist, a 25-year-old male from Los Angeles, was unable to negotiate a curve on Pasadena Avenue. This resulted in a collision with the center median at Arroyo Drive. No other vehicles were involved in the incident. 

Tragically, the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office. 

Traffic officers from the San Marino and Baldwin Park Police Departments provided assistance at the scene. The South Pasadena Police Department’s Traffic Division is leading the investigation into the cause of the collision.
