About the Project
Our 43-year-old Senior Center and Library facilities are struggling to meet the evolving needs of residents. The City has launched a community-wide effort to reimagine a library, senior, and community services facility that will support collaboration and connection for decades to come.
Community Input is Key
First Round of Community Engagement a Success!
Between March 17 and June 1, more than 600 hundred people completed our survey, and an estimated 2,000 people experienced the engagement kiosk at the Library or the Senior Center, or at the events that the kiosk traveled to, where staff and Ad Hoc Committee members had the opportunity to talk to the public about the project.
A second round of seeking community input will take place this summer when we will be asking the public to weigh-in on site development options developed by our consultant Group 4 and reviewed/recommended by the Library/Community Center Comprehensive Site Plan Ad Hoc Committee. There will be another survey, and a new information kiosk will be be popping up at events around town.
