Subject: Stolen Vehicle Recovered, Four Juvenile Subjects Detained
South Pasadena, Calif. – On January 25, 2026, at 12:53 a.m., the Flock automated license plate recognition system alerted officers to a stolen vehicle being driven in the city of South Pasadena. Responding officers quickly located the vehicle abandoned in the 300 block of Hawthorne Alley. Officers immediately contained the area and located four male juveniles walking from the vehicle.
While detaining the four juvenile subjects, a field investigation was conducted and an electronic device used in the theft of the vehicle was recovered. The four juveniles, ranging in age from 16 to 17 years old, all from Bakersfield, were booked and released to their parents for possession of a stolen vehicle and curfew violations, in accordance with Los Angeles County guidelines.
