City to Host Emergency Preparedness and Community Fair

Subject: City of South Pasadena to Host Emergency Preparedness and Community Fair
South Pasadena, Calif. – The City of South Pasadena is pleased to announce the first Emergency Preparedness and Community Fair on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the South Pasadena Fire Department, located at 817 Mound Avenue.
Explore resources and activities from City departments including:
- City Hall: Election information, how to get involved in your city government, job opportunities, and introducing the new Customer Success Center
- Community Development: First look at Accessory Dwelling Unit Prototype Plans, Code Enforcement interactive display
- Community Services: Boo Bash and upcoming fall events, games and giveaways
- Fire: Sidewalk CPR, first responder demonstrations at 12:00 p.m.
- Library: Special Storytime session at 11:00 a.m., prize wheel and giveaways
- Police: Vehicle tours and photo booth
- Public Works: Construction truck tours, water leak detection tutorial & water resiliency information
The City will also be introducing its new emergency preparedness project, “Ready South Pas” and helping people sign up for the City’s new alerting system. More information will be shared with the public this fall.

This event will be followed by the Fall Arts Crawl: Oktober-Fiesta, hosted by the City of South Pasadena and the South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce. The Fall Arts Crawl will take place from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. throughout Mission Street.
