Subject: Citizen Police Academy Returns to the South Pasadena Police Department

South Pasadena, Calif. – The South Pasadena Police Department is pleased to invite the community to the Fall 2025 Session of the Citizen Police Academy!

The Citizen Police Academy offers participants a behind-the-scenes look at the roles and responsibilities of our police officers. Participants will gain hands-on experience and insight into various aspects of law enforcement, including crime analysis, patrol operations, DUI investigations, use of force, and traffic enforcement. Participants must reside, work, or own property in South Pasadena.

"We are ecstatic about bringing the Citizen Police Academy back to South Pasadena. The program is a great opportunity for community members to connect with our officers and learn more about how we serve our city," said Lieutenant Shannon Robledo. "We believe that building trust starts with transparency, and this program opens the door to meaningful conversations and understanding."

The Fall 2025 Session will take place on Mondays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. between November 10 - December 22 at the South Pasadena Police Department, located at 1422 Mission Street. Space is limited and applicants are not guaranteed enrollment.
