Subject: Registration is Open for the Community Emergency Response Team
South Pasadena, Calif. – The community is invited to participate in the South Pasadena Fire Department’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program this fall!
The CERT Program educates people about disaster preparedness and basic response skills to assist their friends, family, and community during a disaster. Participants will learn about disaster preparedness, fire safety, light search and rescue, CERT organization, disaster medical operations, terrorism, and disaster psychology.
"In an emergency, every second counts — and every prepared resident makes a difference," said Fire Chief Greg Lloyd. "CERT empowers our community to act quickly, confidently, and effectively when it matters most.
"The Fall 2025 Session will take place on November 8, 15, and 22 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the South Pasadena Fire Department, located at 817 Mound Avenue. Participants must attend all three sessions to graduate.
