Subject: Package Theft Suspect Arrested

South Pasadena, Calif. – On December 29, 2025, at 9:52 p.m., the South Pasadena Police Department’s Communication Center received multiple calls of a male suspect who was committing package thefts as well as prowling and trespassing on residences in the area of Floral Park Terrace and Hermosa Street. The suspect fled on foot through the neighborhood as officers quickly arrived on scene. Responding officers coordinated with neighboring police agencies, utilizing both air support and ground units, to contain, locate, and apprehend the suspect without incident. 

The suspect, David Aguilar, 40, an unhoused individual from Los Angeles, was arrested and booked on theft charges. He was additionally held on a felony probation warrant.

Officers recovered a stolen package and returned it to the owner.
