Subject: City of South Pasadena Reminds Residents of Overnight and 72-Hour Parking Enforcement

South Pasadena, Calif. – The City of South Pasadena would like to remind residents that overnight parking permits are required for vehicles parked on the street for more than 30 minutes between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Permits can be purchased for up to three days at a time.

Parking regulations were temporarily suspended in early 2025 due to the Eaton Fire but resumed on April 7, 2025. Individuals and families displaced by wildfires were given temporary exemptions until May 5, 2025. The City published a press release on March 27, 2025, to inform the public that parking regulations would resume.

Overnight parking exemptions are also held annually during Thanksgiving Holiday and Winter Break. Exemption dates for 2026 will be posted later this year.
