South Pasadena, Calif. – On Monday, May 18, 2026, at approximately 11:55 a.m., the South Pasadena Police Department Communications Center received a call about a suspicious male who was seen entering the side yard of a residence in the 2000 Block of Fremont Avenue.
Officers responded to the area and located a male matching the description walking in the 2000 Block of Fremont Avenue. They detained the male pending further investigation.
Additional officers responded to the residence and discovered signs of forced entry into the home. They also found evidence that implicated the suspect having been inside the home. The suspect, 45-year-old Gerardo Duran of Los Angeles, was arrested for residential burglary and booked at Pasadena City Jail.
