Subject: South Pasadena Public Library to Host Genealogy Fair

South Pasadena, Calif. – The South Pasadena Public Library will host a Genealogy Fair on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Library Community Room, located at 1115 El Centro Street. The free community event will bring together genealogical resources, local cultural organizations, and community groups to help residents explore their family histories and learn more about genealogy.

Designed for community members at all levels of experience, the Genealogy Fair will offer opportunities to connect with organizations and resources focused on family history and cultural heritage. Attendees can visit exhibitors throughout the day and participate in presentations covering a range of genealogy-related topics.

The day's programming will begin with “Genealogy 101,” a presentation by Sara Cockran, also known as The Skeleton Whisperer, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. At noon, Eugene Moy, President of the Historical Society of Southern California, will present on Chinese genealogy in Southern California, exploring resources and approaches for researching Chinese family history in the region.

The fair will conclude with a short documentary screening of My Mother’s Voice, sharing the story of fourteen-year-old Flora Munushian escape from the Armenian genocide, followed by a Q&A with author and documentarian Dr. Kay Mouradian, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
