Subject: City of South Pasadena to Host September 11 Remembrance Ceremony

South Pasadena, Calif. – The public is invited to join the City of South Pasadena and the South Pasadena Police and Fire Departments for a brief ceremony honoring the memory of those lost on September 11, 2001. Marking the 25th anniversary of the attacks, the Remembrance Ceremony will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, in front of the South Pasadena City Hall Courtyard, located at 1414 Mission Street.

The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:45 a.m. with public safety personnel and City officials gathering in front of City Hall and lowering the American Flag to half-staff. At 7:00 a.m., the regional emergency communications system, Verdugo, will announce a tribute over a shared radio channel, then a moment of silence will simultaneously be observed by all 49 Verdugo fire stations. Dignitary remarks will follow.

The ceremony is free and open to the public, and no registration is required. The community is encouraged to attend as the City honors the lives lost and recognizes the courage, sacrifice, and service of first responders.
