Subject: Armed Suspect Arrested After Traffic Stop
South Pasadena, CA – On Thursday, April 10, 2025, at about 2:25 a.m., a South Pasadena Patrol Officer noticed a vehicle engaged in suspicious activity. The officer made additional observations to provide cause to conduct a traffic stop in the 400 block of South Arroyo Parkway in Pasadena.
During the contact, the officer developed probable cause to search the vehicle and discovered the driver, who was on Federal Probation, to be in possession of a loaded, unregistered firearm, multiple baggies of cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and a scale.
The driver, 54-year-old Alfonso Cue Castro from Alhambra, was booked at Pasadena City Jail for possession of a controlled substance for sale with an unregistered firearm and prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
