Subject: City of South Pasadena Seeks Classic Cars for 4th of July Festival of Balloons Parade
South Pasadena, CA – The City of South Pasadena invites owners of classic cars to showcase their vehicles and help celebrate Independence Day by participating in the annual Festival of Balloons 4th of July Parade! This beloved hometown tradition will take place on Friday, July 4, 2025, starting at 11:00 a.m. at Diamond Avenue by the Library Community Room and ending at Garfield Park.
This year, we are excited to welcome classic car enthusiasts to join the parade and bring extra sparkle to the event. We are especially seeking classic cars to drive local dignitaries and special guests, providing a unique way to participate and add to the festive atmosphere.
Owners of vintage, antique, and classic cars of all makes and models are encouraged to apply. Whether you want to drive in the parade or transport community leaders, this is a fantastic opportunity to share your passion for classic automobiles with South Pasadena residents and visitors.
The parade theme, Unity in Community: One Nation, One Neighborhood, invites participants to express togetherness and creativity through their parade entries. Classic car drivers will be part of a diverse lineup that includes Scouts, local service clubs, Little League and AYSO teams, and the South Pasadena Tournament of Roses Committee.
How to Participate
To register your classic car or to volunteer to drive dignitaries, please complete the one-page registration form and agree to the parade guidelines. Registration forms and parade guidelines are available at www.southpasadenaca.gov/events.

After the parade, all participants and attendees are invited to join the Party in the Park at Garfield Park, followed by the Fireworks Spectacular at South Pasadena High School beginning at 9:00 p.m., with a pre-show concert from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
