Subject: South Pasadena Police Department Clarifies Stance on Immigration Law Enforcement

South Pasadena - The City of South Pasadena and its Police Department fully recognize and support the rights of individuals to peacefully protest and exercise their freedom of speech. We respectfully ask that those participating in such activities do so in a lawful and considerate manner.

The South Pasadena Police Department does not enforce, nor participate in the enforcement of, federal immigration laws. That responsibility lies solely with federal agencies and is not within the scope of local law enforcement.

South Pasadena is proud to be a diverse and inclusive community that values the rights of all individuals. We remain committed to ensuring that everyone who lives, works, or visits our city is treated with dignity and respect, and can do so in a safe and welcoming environment.
