South Pasadena, CA – The City of South Pasadena invites is proud to announce the return of its summer event series at Garfield Park, featuring a full season of free, family-friendly entertainment under the stars. From live music and outdoor movies to Shakespearean performances, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

All events take place at Garfield Park located at 1000 Park Avenue, South Pasadena. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets or grab a bite from onsite food vendors.

Concerts in the Park

Enjoy an evening of live music in the heart of Garfield Park. Each concert brings a different sound and style, perfect for dancing, picnicking, or simply soaking in the summer vibes. The current schedule of performances includes Latin Soul Band on Sunday, June 29, ACME Time Machine on Sunday, July 27, Soul3Sixty on Sunday, August 3, and the series concludes with a showing of Live from Earth – Pat Benatar & Beyond on Sunday, August 17. All concerts run from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Food vendors include La Oveja and Lilus Boba on Sunday, June 29, The Standard Burger and Tikiz Shaved Ice on Sunday, July 27, Andreas Catering and Rio Soft Serve on Sunday, August 3, and Lilus Boba and The Taco Cartel on Sunday, August 17.

Movies in the Park

Grab your popcorn and enjoy movie night under the stars. These family-friendly films are a perfect way to kick off the weekend. The current schedule of movies includes The Goofy Movie on Friday, June 13, A Minecraft Movie on Friday, July 11, and the series concludes with a showing of The Wild Robot on Friday, August 8. All movies begin at sunset.

Food vendors include Tikiz Shaved Ice and The Taco Cartel on Friday, June 13, Lilus Boba and Andreas Catering on Friday, July 11, and Tikiz Shaved Ice and La Oveja on Friday, August 8.

Shakespeare in the Park

Experience the magic of live theater in a beautiful outdoor setting. Performed by a professional cast, these timeless works bring drama, comedy, and classic storytelling to South Pasadena. In partnership with Shakespeare by the Sea, the City will host two dates of Shakespeare in the Park featuring Julius Ceasar on Saturday, July 19 and As You Like It on Sunday, July 20. Performances begin at 7:00 p.m.
