Subject: Two Arrested for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle

South Pasadena, CA – On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at approximately 1:31 a.m., a South Pasadena Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a 2013 Ford Escape, in the 6000 block of Monterey Road in Los Angeles.

A records check revealed the 2013 Ford Escape had been reported stolen on May 25, 2025, from San Pedro. Additional officers responded to the scene, and the two occupants were detained pending further investigation.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed methamphetamine, along with multiple identification and credit cards not belonging to either occupant. The suspects, identified as 34-year-old Joel Ramirez of Venice and 32-year-old Amy Carlie Bryant of Los Angeles, were taken into custody for Grand Theft Auto, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Identity Theft. Both individuals were transported to the Pasadena City Jail for booking.
