Current Projects

Selected streets will receive Crack Sealing, Slurry Sealing, Asphalt Repair and Concrete Repairs as part of this year’s project.

Slurry seal is a mixture of liquid asphalt and aggregate applied to streets to extend their life. To properly apply slurry seal, each street must be closed from 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. to allow for the application and drying process.

Regularly scheduled trash collection and street sweeping operations will not be disrupted by construction activity. 

The City of South Pasadena and Roy Allan Slurry Seal Inc. thank you for your cooperation, patience and support while we work to improve the roads in our community. 

• City will commence the project with asphalt repairs, concrete curb repairs and crack sealing. 

• A second notice will be sent out to residents of the impacted streets 
  • This notice will contain the specific Slurry Seal construction date 

• Selected streets will be closed starting 7:30AM, reopening around 4:00PM on the date specified 

IMPORTANT TO NOTE

• Vehicles will not be allowed on streets until the work is completed and the slurry has dried 
• Access to and from residents driveways will be prohibited
• City suggests parking vehicles on a nearby street if access is needed on the day specified for construction 
• Please ensure all vehicles are removed from the street by 7:00AM on the date specified
